The complex composed of primary school (Grundschule) and secondary school (Mittelschule) in the Führichstraße is located in a typical city district called Ramersdorf-Perlach in the south-east of Munich, with a population of about 100,845 and an area of 1,989.88 hectares. The original school building was constructed in 1915–1918 and an extension wing was added in 1933. Connection to the transport network is very good, with the ring road "Mittlerer Ring" nearby and convenient access by underground train and several bus lines.
The ensemble is made up of a main building composed of a primary school (15 classes) and a secondary school (12 classes). Several pavilion structures and a solid two-storey structure accommodate an after-school day care centre with 4 groups and a kindergarten with 6 groups.
The existing functions of the school will be improved by the planned extension and the following functions and utilisations will be added:
- Construction of a sports hall divisible into three sections
- Construction of an after-school day care centre with 4 groups
- School extension also for communal and civic use with premises for all-day child care, after-school day care, canteen, central kitchen (social city).
- Preservation/restoration of a large lawn playing area + all-weather playground
- Demolition of a pavilion
- Conversion of a day-care facility for children to a kindergarten
- Provision of additional car parking spaces
- Conversion and maintenance of existing structures
