The objects of this user follow the maxim "as much independence as possible with as much care and nursing as necessary". Communication and communal activities are key elements of an individual living style in combination with full-time supervision. The object is situated in a new mixed-use area, very close to the attractive centre of Würselen, a town which is only a few minutes by car from the Dutch and Belgian border. The proximity to the High Fens and the Eifel highlands, as well as the city of Aachen only 7 km away, offer a broad range of leisure activities as well as diverse cultural and social events. The Senior Park has a special care area, assisted-living apartments, a day care service, a service for non-residents, a café restaurant open to the public, a hairdresser, a laundry as well as leisure and fitness rooms.
The 4-storey building completed in spring 2012 is U-shaped and open towards the east. It was built in accordance with the latest energy savings standards. The senior residence facility offers 90 single rooms with optional independent catering. Accommodation groups of 10 residents share a living, eating and lounge area. Also available are 6 assisted-living apartments for occupancy by two persons, as well as 21 day care places. The day care service is provided on the ground floor and has its own entrance and the 6 accommodation units are similarly accessible via a separate entrance. A fully equipped kitchen capable of catering for about 240 persons 3 times a day, a dining area also accessible to the public, several group and multi-purpose rooms, technical facilities, laundry as well as administration and auxiliary rooms are located on the ground floor.
