conSENSE7 is an office and commercial building located in the historic centre of Hamburg. The building realised by HOCHTIEF Projektentwicklung, offers a total gross floor area of 8,500 m². The new building with eight regular and one stepped storey has replaced the former headquarters of the fire insurance company, the Hamburger Feuerkasse. A transparent perforated stone façade appropriately picking up the key colour red creates excellent lighting conditions. Each of the upper storeys has a balcony or terrace.
Large roof terraces offer a great view across Hamburg. The ground floor is occupied by a popular Vapiano restaurant. The architecture follows the traditional division into base, middle section and stepped storey typical for Hamburg. A flexible layout concept permits the floors to be split into cellular offices, combination or open-plan offices. conSENSE7 is equipped with natural ventilation and contemporary energy systems and utilises sustainable technology.
Modern partitioning and furnishing concepts can be implemented to suit requirements, allowing organisation as individual offices, team rooms, rooms for common use or large office spaces. Areas ranging from 270 m² to 410 m² can also be combined with each other if required.
The railway station Hauptbahnhof Nord and an underground train station are just around the corner providing easy access to public transport. Access by car is also convenient thanks to a nearby motorway junction and 22 allocated underground parking spaces.
The new office building is a simple contemporary interpretation of a typical old Hamburg office building (Kontorhaus). It is traditional but not conservative, modern but not fussy, imposing but not flashy. The building closes the gap between Kurze Mühren and Lilienstraße in an attractive and harmonious manner.
